Tips & Tricks - Online Help
Did you know the Online Help is now a single document that is common to all GeoStudio products? It focuses on how to interact with the user interface at the model definition and results visualization stages. The Online Help also includes many active links to other resources such as the Engineering Methodology books and related topics in Help. Key points are emphasized in a shaded area and many topics include comments to help you use the command more effectively.

You can access Online Help from GeoStudio in the following ways:

  • Choose Help Topics from the Help menu, click on the Help icon in the GeoStudio Start Page, or press F1 at any time. A Help Topics dialog box is displayed containing the Contents, Index and Search tabs.
  • Move the mouse over a menu item (such that the menu command is highlighted) and press F1. The help topic corresponding to the selected menu command is displayed.
  • Move the mouse over a toolbar button and press F1. The help topic corresponding to the selected toolbar button is displayed.
  • While you are in an interactive mode, such as Draw Regions, press F1. The help topic corresponding to the mode is displayed (e.g., the Draw Regions topic).
  • While you are in a dialog box, press F1 or click the question mark button in the top-right corner of the dialog box. The help topic corresponding to the dialog box is displayed.
