SECURITY & PRIVACY
Protecting your personal information is a priority at GEO-SLOPE and we make every
effort to protect any information you entrust to us on our website. Be assured
that no information you give us will ever be shared or sold to any third parties.
If you voluntarily give us your email address (by submitting it through any form
on our site or by emailing us) we may start sending you our email newsletter or
other information we think you may be interested in. At any time you may ask
to be added to our do-not-contact list and we will stop sending you such information.
Should you choose to make a payment through our online store by credit card, your
credit card information is encrypted between your computer and our store using 128-bit
encryption. The transaction itself is processed by a third
party, and your credit card number is never stored on our servers or accessible
even to our staff.
Our online store and other pages on our website (such as the My Account page) are
secured using Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) technology. SSL
encrypts information as
it passes from your computer to our server so that it cannot be intercepted and
read by anybody in between. Whenever a page on our website is protected by SSL,
it will display the thawte Trusted Site Seal on the left of the
page, just below the menu:
The thawte Trusted Site Seal is a secure image that allows you to tell at
a glance that you can trust us, that we are fully authenticated (we are truly www.geo-slope.com
and truly owned by GEO-SLOPE International Ltd.) and that you can transact safely
and securely with us. By clicking on the thawte Trusted Site Seal,
you will be able to access all our SSL Web Server details along with a Consumer
Education Program, which explains the full value of this type of SSL certificate.
To further check the security of your connection, look at the lower
left-hand corner of your browser window on any page displaying the thawte Trusted Site Seal. If you see
an unbroken key or a closed lock (depending on
your browser), then SSL is active and your transaction is securely encrypted. You can also confirm that SSL is in use by looking
at the URL line of your browser. When accessing a secure server, the first characters
of the site address will change from "http" to "https."
Some older versions of browsers and some corporate firewalls don't permit communication
through secure servers. In that case, you will not be able to connect to our server
so you won't have to worry about placing an order through an unsecured connection.
If you cannot access our secure server for whatever reason, please print our
Official Price List and
Order Form and place your order by telephone or fax.
