Online Help
The Online Help has been completely revised in GeoStudio 2007.
All engineering related information such as theory and application has been removed
and included in separate
Engineering Methodology books
for each product.
The Online Help is now a single document that is common to all GeoStudio products.
It focuses on how to interact with the user interface at the model definition and
results visualization stages.
The Online Help is a rich document. For example, this screen capture shows the
product icons at the top of each page. The icons indicate
that the displayed help topic is applicable in the SLOPE/W, SIGMA/W, SEEP/W, QUAKE/W, TEMP/W, CTRAN/W and
VADOSE/W products. This means that data you enter in any one of these
products will automatically be shared with the other products that use similar data.
As you change help topics, the active icons in the top right corner change.
The highlighted icons also indicate if the current topic pertains to the DEFINE,
SOLVE or CONTOUR module. Finally, if you click on any of the icons, you will
be taken to a list of topics specific to that product.
The Online Help also includes many active links to other resources such as the
Engineering Methodology books and related topics in Help. Key points are emphasized
in a shaded area and many topics include comments to help
you use the command more
effectively.
