While some Add-Ins can be downloaded from our website and installed directly on your computer (expect this list to grow!), the most powerful aspect of Add-Ins is that you can write your own. In fact if you have GeoStudio 2007 or higher installed, you already have everything you need on your computer to write your own Add-In today.

The Add-In Developer's Kit (also called the SDK, or Software Development Kit) contains instructions, templates, scripts, and sample code to get you started. Download it here or from the GeoStudio 2012 Downloads page:

You may find it easier to write Add-Ins using Microsoft Visual Studio Express Editions. These free tools are designed for novice programmers, and give you your choice of programming language, from Visual Basic, C# or C++.
