Problem: "Internal Error" When Enabling 3D Acceleration

Symptoms
When enabling "Use 3D Acceleration" in Tools Options, this error message may be displayed:

Seep3D: Internal Error

An unexpected internal error has occurred. You should save your project with a new name before continuing.
Would you like to save it now?

Clicking "Yes" allows you to save your file but returns you to the same dialog box afterwards. Clicking "No" hangs Seep3D requiring you to end the GeoStdio.exe process from within Windows Task Manager.
Resolution
Use Regedit to set HKCU\Software\GEO-SLOPE\GeoStudio\b1.92\Default\WorkState_v1_1\ViewPref\3DView\UseOpenGLAcceleration equal to 1

There is the problem after setting it. How can I do it now?

Version 1.18 is a bit more robust in terms of supporting a wider range of OpenGL accelerated video cards.
