GEO-SLOPE International is pleased to announce the next UK Geotechnical Modelling
workshop, to be held on June 2, 3 & 4, 2008, in Ironbridge, England. This workshop is always a
well attended event where GEO-SLOPE clients from around the world gather to learn,
enhance and fine-tune their numerical modelling skills under the guidance of GEO-SLOPE
personnel.
Format and Outline
This year you can attend for a full three-day session or a shortened session with
reduced content for two days. The two-day workshop will focus on SLOPE/W with introductory
sessions on both SEEP/W and SIGMA/W. More advanced SEEP/W, SIGMA/W and introductory
QUAKE/W sessions will be included on the third day.

The workshop will benefit virtually any geotechnical engineer interested in numerical modelling,
regardless of previous experience.
By attending the workshop, you can:

Whether you wish to fine-tune your numerical modelling skills, or be eased into the world of numerical
modelling using GEO-SLOPE products, this workshop is designed for you.
Workshop time will be divided between lectures which incorporate working with the
software directly and group problem solving discussions. The primary focus is on
the
SLOPE/W,
SEEP/W and
SIGMA/W
applications. Participants will be exposed to a general review of geotechnical theory
as well as appropriate and efficient numerical modelling strategies.
About the Presenters
The GEO-SLOPE workshop team is a dynamic group of engineers and programmers who possess strong
presentation skills and have many years of combined experience with geotechnical numerical
modelling and programme development.

Price includes course notes, lunches and light refreshments. Please note that accommodation, evening meal
costs and laptop computer rentals are not included in the registration fee.

Cancellations or substitutions will be accepted without penalty until May 16th, 2008. After this time
only substitutions will be accepted.
Venue:
A block of rooms has been set aside for workshop participants and will be held until
14 days before the workshop. Please advise the hotel of your participation in the
